Mr E G Rose and Miss W M Gumbleton

The wedding took place at Holy Trinity Church of Mr Edgar George Rose, eldest son of Mr Hugh Rose and Mrs Rose of Okeford Fitzpaine, to Miss Winifred Mary Gumbleton, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Gumbleton of Bimport-street Shaftesbury. The Rector (Rev. H H Coley) officiated. The bride, given away by her brother, Mr E G Gumbleton wore a dress of pale clover with turban to tone. She wore a spray of white carnations, and pink daphne on the shoulder, and carried a prayer book. The 'best man' was the twin brother of the bridegroom, Mr H Rose. A reception was held at the bride's home.
