|Died:||23 May 1951||Dundee, Angus, Scotland|
|Henry Gumbleton drowned at Dundee in 1951, having just completed a voyage / tour of duty in
the Merchant Navy's 'Charles M'. He wrote a letter home that very day outlining how
much he was looking forward to beginning his leave the following day and going home to Cork
to see everyone. Sadly, by the time the letter arrived, the telegram informing
the family of Henry's death had already been received.
