| George Gumbleton is believed to be a child of Josiah William Dornford Gumbleton (a boot maker) and his wife Lydia. This has not been proved absolutely, but the only other birth in the St Martins area of London around this time was Elizabeth, who was provably a child of Josiah and Lydia. Josiah and Lydia were later living at 24, St. Martins Court, Long Acre, London, so this may have been where George was born.
George Gumbleton died when he was about three months old and was buried in Whitefields Memorial Church, Camden, London, a non-conformist church. Thanks to Alan Gumbleton for pointing out his likely parentage | ||
