Land and Property: Indenture - Standard Life Assurance Co
Date: 28 Feb 1919
Between The Standard Life Assurance Company and the Rt Revd Maxwell Homfray Maxwell-Gumbleton.
Indenture is supplemental to existing mortgage dated 20 Sep 1913 made between the company and M H M-G's Trustees for a sum of £1000 plus interest and another indenture dated 12 October 1916 for a further £1000 plus interest, on the security of a further life assurance policy. Yet another indenture dated 17 Aug 1917 regarding a sum of £1700.
At this point £1700 is owing to the comapany, although all interest has been paid up to date. The present indenture agrees that this sum is now repaid to the company and all the assets held as security by the company, including the manor of Twyning, will now be returned to M H M-G.
