Aprill the eleventh one thousand seven hundred and fourteen In the Name of God Amen I Richard Grumbleton of Buckland in the Parish of Newchurch in the Isle of Wight and County of South~ton Yeoman being sick of Body but of sound and perfect memory (blessed be God for the same) do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and Form following (Viz) Inprimis I give and bequeath my Soul into the hands of God my maker - and my Body to the Earth to be Buried in Christian Buriall at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named: Item I give and Bequeath to Bridget Tayler of Ryde in the said County the sum of five Shillings; Item I give to Clement Warn of the affore said Ryde the sum of One Guinea as also the Bed in the Parlour with all the furniture therto belonging; Item I give to my Kinsman William Cookman of the Parish of Long Crichel in the County of Dorsetshire the Sum of One Guinea; Item I give unto my Sister Mary Ballet of Long Crichel in Dorsetshire above said the Sum of Fifty Shillings; Item I give unto my sister Martha the Sum of Fifty Shillings (the reason of not mentioning this sisters name and place of abode is because she is married and I know neither husbands name or place of abode); Item I give unto Jonathan Sheath of the Parish of Atherton in the Isle of Wight and County of Hampshire the sum of Fifty Shillings; Item I give to Roger Ballet of Long Crichel above said the sum One Guinea; Item I give unto the daughter of Elizah Sheath (Vid) my God Daughter the Sum of One Guinea; Item I give unto John Hayard of Little Haylands of the Parish of Newchurch in the Isle of Wight and County of Southton all and every of my wairing apparrel except my two best suts of Cloths allso I give unto the affore said John Hayard the sum of One Guinea; Item all other my Goods and Chattles whatsoever not yet bequeathed unto my I give and bequeath unto my Brother Kinsmen John Grumbleton and to his Sone John Grumbleton both of Long Crichel in the County of Dorsetshire making them the full sole and joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament whhich I pronounce and declare to be my last Will and Testament the day and Year first above written.
