| Elizabeth Gumbleton was one of the children of Robert Gumbleton of Ansty-in-Hilton, Dorset and his wife Sarah. She was baptised on 3 Mar 1723, at Hilton, Dorset.
Her father died in 1731 and her mother in about 1732. She was subsequently (in 1734) represented in a court case relating to her claim on her late father’s estate. DNA evidence supports the view that she was the Elizabeth who married John Gumbleton of Cann. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
