| Elizabeth BOWDITCH was born 28 Oct 1846, at 13 Old Dorset Place, Clapham Rd, Lambeth, the daughter of Thomas Henry BOWDITCH and Elizabeth Mary (nee Bowditch).
On 30 Mar 1861 the census shows her living with her parents at 14, Dorset Place, Clapham, Surrey. At this time, Richard Gumbleton, her future husband's uncle, was living next door at 12, Dorset place. She married Richard GUMBLETON, the son of Josiah William Dornford GUMBLETON. In 1868 and they had ten children. On 2 Apr 1871, Elizabeth GUMBLETON was living in 52 Cranmer Rd, Brixton, Surrey. On 3 Apr 1881, she was living in 4 Eythorne Rd, Brixton, Surrey. She was also there in 1891. Richard died, aged 72, at 154 Springbank Rd, Catford, Lewisham, Surrey, on 7 May 1909. In 1911, Elizabeth was living at 154, Springbank Road, Hither Green. She died, aged 68, in Brentford RD, Jun Qr 1916. She was buried in Norwood Cemetery, 8 May 1916 (of 29 Sydney Road, West Ealing). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
