| Charles John Gumbleton was a son of George David Gumbleton and his wife Marry Ann E, nee Williams. He was born on 1 Jan 1907 in the Christchurch, Hampshire, Registration District.
The 1911 shows him living with his parents and nger brother at 245 Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, where his father was a furniture dealer. Electoral rolls show him still living at that address in 1930. In 1933 he was married to Alice E Moseley in the Bornemouth, Dorset, district. As far as we know, they had no children. In 1936 he passed the examinations for the Institution of Civil Engineers. In 1939, the Register of that year shows him and his wife living in Lambeth, Surrey. In 1949 he was a benificary of his mother's will. He died on 13 May 1981 and was then of 2, Wincombe Drive, Ferndown, Wimborne, Dorset. His widow died in 2004. | ||
