God’s Will be done
I William Wright of Melbury Abbas in the County of Dorset, Yeoman, do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament…

I give unto my Housekeeper, Sarah Gumbleton, the sum of two shillings and sixpence weekly and every week during the term of her natural life.
The first payment to commence on the Monday morning next after my decease, charged and chargeable as hereinafter is mentioned with usual powers of distress as are applicable to the recovery of debt when in arrear.
And it is my particular will and desire that the said Sarah Gumbleton may be found with a comfortable cottage to reside in during her life by my Trustees and Executors hereinafter named, rent free and if they fail so to do, then I give to the said Sarah Gumbleton an additional Annuity of five pounds a year to enable her to rent such cottage, charged and chargeable as aforesaid with the same powers of distress. This first payment to commence at the end of six months after my decease.

And lastly I hereby revoke all former Wills made by me and appoint the said Thomas Blandford, John Blandford and Thomas Miles joint Executors and Trustees of this my Will.
