In the name of God Amen
I Thomas Gumbleton of Britford in the county
of Wilts husbandman make my last will and testament
being in the perfect memory God be praised
though very weak in body as followeth
Imprimis I bequeath my soul to God
that gave it me trusting only in the merits and mercy of Him
for salvation d[...]ing mine own works or deserts.
Item I desire my body to be buried in the churchyard
of Britford aforesaid.
Item I make my wife Joane and my son Robert
joint executors of all my estate my debts and
legacies and charges paid for my burial.
Item I give to my daughter Mary Shaw wife
of Nicholas Shaw one shilling as a testimony
of my love to my daughter.
Item I give to my son John Gumbleton
if he shall demand it one shilling as a
testimony of my love.
