| Thomas Gumbleton was a son of Robert Gumbleton, blacksmith of West Grimstead, Wiltshire, and his wife Mary, nee Lankford. He was baptised at West Grimstead on 11 Jul 1728.
He married Mary Perryer (or Perrier) but the record of the marriage has not been found. They had four children. In 1764, he was a beneficiary of his father’s will. Thomas died in 1807 and was buried at West Grimstead, where he had a gravestone that recorded himself, his wife and his brother-in-law, James Perryer. | ||||||||||||||||||
